Pat McBrearty, D.C., ART - Founder
Dr. Pat is one of Canton's own growing up in Plain Township and graduating from GlenOak High School in 1996. While attending GlenOak, he participated in Soccer, Diving and Track. He acquired accolades such as Second Team All-Ohio in Soccer and became the Stark County record holder in the Pole Vault. Dr. Pat then went on Walsh University, in North Canton, Ohio, and graduated in 2001 where he majored in Biology, Pre-Med. While at Walsh, he played soccer and was awarded honorable mention All-Conference all four years he attended. Dr. Pat is listed in the top ten in school history in scoring and total points. Throughout his athletic career, Dr. Pat had many season ending injuries. It was from these experiences that he learned about chiropractic and so he decided to become a chiropractor to help those individuals that experienced the same pain that he endured and give them hope.
In 2002, Dr. Pat began his chiropractic education at New York Chiropractic College. While attending, he was a member of the Dean’s List and was selected to participate in an internship at the Veteran’s Affairs Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, New York. While in Buffalo, Dr. Pat was a member of the medical staff for the Buffalo Gladiators, a semi-professional football team, the Buffalo Bandits, a professional Lacrosse team, and the National Ta Kwon Do Championships. In March, 2005, Dr. Pat graduated from New York Chiropractic College.
On January 2, 2007, Dr. Pat established McBrearty Family & Sport Chiropractic. He has treated patients of all shapes and sizes varying from the weekend warrior to the professional athlete. Using his knowledge of Chiropractic, Active Release Techniques®, Graston Technique®, Kinesiotaping®, rehabilitative stretches and strengthening exercises, and nutrition, he has been helping patients become well, one patient at a time.
Dr. Pat uses a multidisciplinary approach to caring for the patient by working with other medical professionals (Primary Care Physicians, Orthopedists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist, Massotherapists) to provide the highest quality of care for his patients. He utilizes evidence based methods of care to provide the patient with the most effective treatment so that they are able to become well in the shortest period of time possible.
Dr. Pat has traveled to several events and has provided ART® at several races in Stark and Summit Counties, including the Jackson Night Glow 5K, the Green YMCA Caribbean 5K/10K, the Louisville St. Patrick's Day 5K, the Plain Township Rotary Great Pumpkin Run, and the Akron Marathon.
Dr. Pat is married to his beautiful wife Stephanie and they have three children, Patrick Gabriel, Lennon Eoghan and Theodorah Olive Annalie. He will be the first to tell you what a exciting time this has been for his family with three little ones at home.
Dr. Pat is still an avid soccer player and referee and is becoming more passionate about his recent hobby, Triathlons. He is one of the Co-Founders of the Stark County Triathlon Club and has competed in 7 triathlons as well as two half marathons along with many other road races. Dr. Pat is proud to establish his practice in Canton, OH and Plain Township and takes pride in having the opportunity to give back to both communities.
Rocco Milano, D.C.
Dr. Stephen “Rocco” Milano is extremely excited to join McBrearty Soft Tissue & Sport Chiropractic! The partnership cements a long-standing relationship between the two doctors. Both Plain Local School graduates; Dr. McBrearty was Rocco’s pole vault coach at GlenOak High School.
Dr. Rocco has been interested in chiropractic since an early age. He had his first chiropractic treatment at age 12 and continued to utilize chiropractic throughout his sports career, helping him to work through injuries in a safe and drug-free manner.
He received his Associate's degree from Kent State University at Stark and moved to California where he earned Bachelor’s of Science and Doctorate of Chiropractic Degrees from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles.
Dr. Rocco began his career in Orange County, California working with the OCFIGHTDOCS, concentrating on chiropractic adjustments and rehabilitation for athletes. In February 2014 he moved back to his hometown of Canton, Ohio to further pursue his career, be closer to his family and give back to the community that gave him so much growing up.
Dr. Rocco has received extra training in treating pediatric patients and pregnant women. He believes that being healthy includes eating well, exercise, and utilizing the right tools to maintain the body! Dr. Rocco is excited to have found a practice that has the tools and staff, along with the same philosophy, that he has always wanted to be a part of. He looks forward to meeting you in the future!
Tim Lasick, ART, LMT
Tim is a 2002 graduate of Walsh University in North Canton, where he received a Bachelors degree in Communications. After graduating, he enjoyed a six-year coaching career at Marlington High School as the boy’s head soccer coach. During his time there, Tim led his athletes to great success! His teams went on to win three conference and district championships.
Tim joined the McBrearty Soft Tissue and Sport Chiropractic practice in 2010 and helped to establish the rehabilitation department. Following the relocation and expansion of the practice in 2012, Tim design and launched a successful personal training business within the practice. In 2014, Tim took on the personal challenge of going back to school to become a License Massage Therapist (LMT) in conjunction with becoming full body ART certified.
We are proud to have Tim in his new role as a Soft Tissue Specialist at MFSC! In his free time, Tim enjoys working out, keeping active, long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners. He is also an avid sports fan and goes by the nickname Hulk!!!!
Kaylah Nieschwitz, ART, ATC
Kaylah was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School and went on to attend The University of Mount Union. She was a part of their athletic training program and played varsity softball.
When she passed her athletic training board of certification exam in 2015, Kaylah accepted a graduate assistant position at the University of New Mexico. She worked as an ATC with an amazing group of athletes while she was there and states that it was a rewarding experience.
After New Mexico, she decided to move back to Ohio to be closer to her family. We are blessed to have found Kaylah when she arrived home in Canton and are excited to have her on staff.
Kaylah has two nieces, Payton and Ilah whom she spends most of her free time with. She also has a puppy named Gizmo. She enjoys taking him to get puppachinos at Starbucks and playing at the puppy park.
Outside of her nieces and puppy Kaylah enjoys photography, painting, playing/coaching soccer and softball, water skiing and wake-boarding, as well as hanging out with her family and friends.
